It has always been focussed and committed to providing its workforce with comprehensive and appropriate training that will enhance their skills and knowledge.
As a member of Nursing Solutions Limited you will have an individualised Training and Development programme created for you. Your training needs will be discussed and your progress monitored at each supervision session you have.
A comprehensive Induction Programme is essential and Nursing Solutions Limited recognises it has a duty to ensure its workers are well informed and competent to carry out their work in a safe manner. The company's Induction Programme must be completed within the time frame for new employees as laid down within the National Minimum Care Standards.
The company's Induction Programme combines workplace learning, classroom learning and elearning. The courses delivered by the method of elearning require the use of a computer. The company will assist its workers to access this training if they do not have, or cannot access, a computer of their own
The elearning Induction Package covers the following areas of study:
- Understanding principles of care
- Understanding the organisation and the role of the worker
- Maintaining safety at work
- Communicating effectively
- Recognising and responding to abuse and neglect
- Developing as a worker.
Training in Mandatory subjects such as Patient Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, First Aid, Food Hygiene etc is also provided along with annual updates.
Work specific training is given for those who work within specialised areas of care.
All care workers must either have completed or be committed to completed the NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care as a minimum. Support is given to all workers who wish to progress onto level 3.
